PERU
 The great city of Cusco, ancient
metropolis founded some 3500 years ago, has been declared a
World Heritage Site, and is an exceptional example of Andean
culture both past and present, charming and mysterious, whose
inhabitants give a warm welcome to all those visit them.
The city is located in southern Peru,
nestled in the Andes at 3320 meters above sea level, in the
ecological zone know as Quechua in the Watanay river valley.
Its climate is temperate most of the year, with cold
nights and early mornings from May to October.
The Cusco region, which includes the famous citadel of Machupicchu, the
Apurimac and Urubamba rivers and the Vilcabamba, Vilcanota and
Urubamba mountain ranges, is the ideal destination for those
